Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes focus on dynamic warm-ups, drills and skills work related to a particular combat method, transitional techniques and rolling.

We offer a friendly and relaxed environment where the goal is to train hard and have fun.

Gui Neves

In 1998 at 16 years old, I started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil where I won many state titles. In 2004, I received my brown belt from Nino Shembri and Luiz Azeredo, then moved to New Zealand in 2005 where I taught and fought BJJ.

In 2008, I moved to Australia to study and teach BJJ. I have black belt in BJJ, and have completed Diplomas in Remedial Massage, Fitness and Sports Coaching. I stared my own BJJ studio in my garage in North Bondi, but as of 2012 we moved to Bondi Junction and opened Garage Jiu Jitsu.

I believe I can learn from my students and make Garage Jiu Jitsu one of the greatest environments to train and learn BJJ.

Eric Mastro

I'm a part of the Garage Jiu-Jitsu team, but originate from a Freestyle Wrestling background. I have over 15 years experience training in Martial Arts, hold a black belt in Judo (Judo Black Belt U73kg North Carolina State Champion) and am now passionately dedicated to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I am a BJJ Black Belt under Gui Neves and compete at a local, national and International level

I look forward to helping you reach your full potential.

Winston Hong

I was born and raised in Singapore and currently living in Sydney, Australia. I discovered Brazilian Jiujitsu during my undergraduate studies in Sydney and have never looked back. I am currently a purple belt under Gui Neves and actively compete in local and international competitions. Through my achievements in BJJ, I aim to one day inspire others to work hard, truly pursue their dreams and attain fulfillment in their lives.

"In your actions, don't procrastinate. In your conversations, don't confuse. In your thoughts, don't wander. In your soul, don't be passive or aggressive. In your life, don't be all about business" - Marcus Aurelius

Lucas Venezia

I was born in Rio de Janeiro and moved to Australia in 2016. I started BJJ when I was 14 years old and completed my black belt in 2013 under master Flavius Virgignio (De La Riva School). I recently received second place in the IBJJF nationals.

For me BJJ is much more than just a martial art. It’s a lifestyle that helps to keep the mind and body healthy. It's not about being better than someone else, the real competition is with yourself. Focus on improving reather than proving. It forces you to leave your ego at home and be always ready to learn or to help someone with less knowledge.

Rob Buckley

I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia with over 10 years experience in yoga and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I believe that humans need play and playfulness in their lives to be healthy.

Play is essential to break down barriers and make a safe space to learn new skills. I aim to bring this into the way I train and teach.

I am passionate about showing people how transformative Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be for someone's physical and mental health.
